diaCEST MRI在肿瘤成像中的最新进展

Recent progress on diaCEST MRI for tumor imaging

  • 摘要: 化学交换饱和转移(CEST)磁共振成像(MRI)是一种先进的成像方法,用于探测自由水质子和可交换溶质质子之间的化学交换。这种化学交换降低了水质子的MR信号,并以高灵敏度和空间分辨率揭示了某些内源性生物分子或外源造影剂在生物体中的分布和浓度。CEST信号不仅取决于CEST造影剂的浓度和外部磁场,还取决于造影剂的周围环境,如pH和温度,从而使CEST MRI能够监测体内的pH、温度、代谢水平和酶活性。在这篇综述中,我们讨论了CEST MRI的原理,并主要总结了抗磁性CEST(diaCEST)造影剂在肿瘤成像、诊断和疗效评估方面的最新进展。

     

    Abstract: Chemical exchange saturation transfer (CEST) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is an advanced imaging method that probes the chemical exchange between bulk water protons and exchangeable solute protons. This chemical exchange decreases the MR signal of water and reveals the distribution and concentration of certain endogenous biomolecules or extrogenous contrast agents in organisms with high sensitivity and spatial resolution. The CEST signal depends not only on the concentration of the CEST contrast agent and external magnetic field but also on the surrounding environments of the contrast agent, such as pH and temperature, thus enabling CEST MRI to monitor pH, temperature, metabolic level, and enzyme activity in vivo. In this review, we discuss the principle of CEST MRI and mainly summarize the recent progress of diamagnetic CEST (diaCEST) contrast agents on tumor imaging, diagnosis, and therapy effect evaluation.
